Evolving out of the interest of working musicians seeking a more active role in the orchestral realm, ECHO Chamber Orchestra brings fresh energy and musical verve to orchestral performance.  ECHO strives to create a collaborative musical experience that is both satisfying for the musicians and engaging for the listeners, and that is exactly what ECHO is bringing to their next concert, “ECHO meets MANA.” On Sunday, February 4th, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church in San Anselmo, ECHO will be joining forces with The Mana Saxophone Quartet to create a unique and inspiring concert for the community.

ECHO imbues the European tradition of a fine orchestra in every town with the Bay Area spirit of innovation, self-determination and enthusiasm, offering to a growing body of listeners concerts that are warm, local, and out of the orchestral box. The Mana Quartet is a California-based saxophone quartet called a “groundbreaking ensemble” by the Los Angeles Chronicle. Together, the ensembles are going are take the audience from the beautiful outpouring of melody in Schubert’s 6th Symphony, to the rhythmic intensity of KRASH!, by Anders Nilsson, a saxophone and percussion piece, to the magical and hypnotic minimalism of Philip Glass’ Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Orchestra.
