This month's speaker is Swami Vedananda.

Swami Vedananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order of India, which is a part of the ancient Indian monastic tradition that traces its origin back millennia to the Vedic age, and it traces its further development to Shankaracharya, who systematized this philosophical presentation in the  ninth century. In its present form this order was started in 1886 by the great saint Sri Ramakrishna and organized by his chief disciple, Swami Vivekananda, who himself attended the Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893 and stayed in America and Europe for some additional time, and who also had founded the Vedanta Society of Northern California in San Francisco in 1900.
