Dear MIC Community,
With a sense of both loss and anticipation, the Marin Interfaith Council Board of Directors announces that our esteemed Executive Director, Rev. Scott Quinn, has made the difficult decision to step down from his position effective November 15.
We are deeply grateful for Scott's invaluable contributions to MIC and his unwavering commitment to our mission. His leadership has fostered a culture of compassion, collaboration, and community.
The Board of Directors is working with Scott to create a transition plan that will ensure MIC’s mission remains strong and sustainable, and we will share these plans as they are completed.
For many of us on the Board, it is hard to imagine MIC without Scott. For the past eight years, he has been both the public face of MIC and its heart and soul as well. Under his deft leadership, MIC has worked tirelessly to help envision a Marin County that is more welcoming of all faith traditions and more committed to affirming the power and promise of its diversity.
The Board will deeply miss Scott's immeasurable wisdom, infectious smile, and grateful spirit. His leadership has been a cornerstone of MIC, and his contributions will continue to inspire us. Scott has graciously penned his thoughts on the following letter to our entire community.
We will all have an opportunity to celebrate Scott in person at our Fall Event on November 12, 2024, so please mark your calendars.
As he embarks on his next chapter, please join us in thanking Scott for his dedicated service to Marin and the interfaith movement and wishing him well on the next phase of his ministry. If you would like to discuss this further with the MIC Board, you are welcome to contact Board President Sidharth Kaw via sidharth.kaw@gmail.com.
With gratitude and respect for Scott and our entire community,
The MIC Board of Directors
